About the Park
Tarangire National Park, often called Tanzania’s “Elephant Paradise,” is famous for its vast herds of elephants, ancient baobab trees, and unspoiled landscapes. Covering 2,850 square kilometers, it is the sixth-largest park in Tanzania and offers a more intimate safari experience compared to the Serengeti or Ngorongoro.
The Tarangire River, a lifeline during the dry season, attracts thousands of animals, making the park one of the most rewarding wildlife destinations in northern Tanzania.
